- Taps: Manufactured by high-temperature quenching of 6542 high-speed steel (M2), with higher toughness and wear resistance.
- Dies: Made of high-quality alloy steel, integrated molding processing technology, clear thread and good hardness.
- Applications: Widely used in cast iron, copper, brass, abrasive steel, A3 steel, and other metal materials to process threads.
- Tips: Tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter of the tap.

These appear to be nicely machined tap and die. The cutting edged are clean and sharp with far better quality than some of the stuff I’ve seen come out of China. I haven’t had the chance to use them yet but hopefully they will hold up well enough to get a dozen or more cuts out of them before they dull or become unusable. The price seems reasonable enough.

Solid, well-made set that worked exactly as expected. The steel feels strong and durable, and both the tap and die cut clean, precise threads without any issues. It handled the job smoothly and gave a tight, proper fit on pipe fittings. Definitely a reliable tool set to have on hand for repair or maintenance work.
